Greetings

I learned how to greetings in Tagalog language.

also I found a few Tagalog word that quite similar by it pronounces with Bahasa Indonesia word and it means same too.

Polite Way to Say Something

Philippinos put “po” in the end of the sentences when they speak.
“Thankyou po”
“Yes po”
“Alright po”

It is a polite way to speak.
It means you respect the person you had talking with.

Nickname to Older Brother/Sister

Philippinos called an older brother with “Kuya” and “Ate” for an older sister, in front of that person real name, to give them respect.
Same in Indonesia, we also have that nickname. For older brother we called him “Abang” and for older sister we called her “Kakak”.

Handshake

People in Philippines also do handshake. It is okay for them to do the handshake with left hand. This is what make it’s different from Indonesia. In Indonesia, we always do the handshake with right hand, because handshake with left hand is impolite.

Environmental Care

Philippines applied “no plastic bag” policy. They use paper bag and eco bag. If you want to go to market, make sure you bring eco bag with you if you don’t want to hug paper bag all the way home.

Public Transportation

They’re still like to use traditional public transport than personal transportation. They have many kinds of public transportation: Threecycle, Multicab, and Jeepney. A best way to solve traffic jam problems.
